Customer service has always played an
important part in Bill's work history.
In the 70's, after graduating
from High School, and attending Jr. College in the San Fernando Valley,
Bill did a variety of office positions. The most gratifying was
working the temporary employment field. Managing an office for both
Temporary and Permanent job placement, Bill was surrounded by people of
all types. All with the same goal, getting a job, but with different
skills. This proved to be an incredibly interesting
profession. Being able to help someone not only locate a position, but to
see the pleasure and satisfaction they would have in themselves after
achieving that position. Knowing you are part of that was truly
a rewarding experience.
Back in the 80's, it was working for
General Telephone, soon to become part of Verizon. Working with the
public having their phone service installed in their homes and in their
business's, dealing with their billing matters, working directly with the
public in the service centers, and then later switching to behind the scenes,
dispatching installers to the field, working on repair situations from taking
the call to closing the transaction when the work was done. All the
while, developing a love of working with the public, and not being stuck in an
office all day.
In the 90's, when his career
with Verizon was being downsized and moved 90 miles away, Bill opted for the
"package" Verizon was offering, which included training in another
profession. At this point of his life, and having taking a trip to
Hawaii, Bill was bitten by the travel bug. After training with the Carlson
Travel Academy, Bill went to work at a Travel agency in Leucadia California,
and remained there for the next 9 years before making the decision to move to
the desert. There he worked at a Palm Springs travel agency of the next 7
years. Over the course of the 16 years working as a full time agent, he
was able to go on over 40 cruises, traveling to Hawaii, the Caribbean,
Paris, London, Athens, Turkey, Spain, New Zealand, Fiji, Bermuda, Argentina,
Canada, Alaska, almost every state in the continental US, and to his beloved
Italy.
With over twenty years experience as
a Travel Agent, seeing the world, and helping people to find their
"dream" vacations, in 2005 Bill decided to pursue his other
passion, buying and selling real estate. For years he found his clients the
best deals for the perfect trip. Now, he is showing them how to buy or sell the
perfect home.
